Making sense of life with dogs
I work with people who love their dogs to bits yet sometimes feel baffled, frustrated, or worn thin by them. I offer online behaviour and training support that’s tailored to your dog, your lifestyle, and your capacity - so the help you get fits the life you’re living.
The dog part
From city apartments to muddy country paddocks, I’ve supported dogs and their people across the UK and Australia. I’m a KPA-CTP, Licensed Un-Chase!® Trainer, Certified Family Dog Mediator, Fear Free Certified Professional and a graduate of the Aggression in Dogs Master Course. I’m also a Kids Around Dogs Approved Professional, specialising in safe, positive family life with children and dogs.
My current Master’s in Anthrozoology (the study of human–animal relationships) underpins everything I do. It helps me look at the bigger picture: who your dog is, who you are, and how you can live best together.

The people part
Your dog matters. And so do you.
I have a degree in psychology and years of experience coaching and mentoring people, from dog guardians to fellow trainers and volunteer teams.
Behaviour change can be hard for both humans and dogs. My role is to make it feel doable by breaking things down into small, realistic steps. I’ll listen without judgement and help keep things on track, whether the washing is still on the line, your inbox is overflowing, or the kids are staging a mutiny at bedtime.
Why online training works
-
🏠︎
Dogs act more naturally at home
Without the distraction of a new person arriving, I see behaviour in its true context - the way it shows up in daily life.
-
❤︎
Gentler for sensitive dogs
Shy, fearful, or reactive dogs don’t have the added stress of a stranger in the room. They stay calmer, which makes progress easier.
-
🛠
You gain lasting skills
Because I’m coaching you in real time rather than stepping in, you build the confidence and know-how to keep making progress after our sessions.
-
⏲
Flexible and frequent
We can meet more often for shorter check-ins, which keeps momentum steady without overwhelming you or your dog.
-
🗺
Access anywhere
You can book from anywhere in the world and keep training consistent wherever life takes you.

Clearer learning through video
Recording your training helps you spot details you’d miss in the moment. You’ll also get feedback on these videos to guide your next steps.
“Even though we are not based in Victoria, we engaged Harriet via zoom. Her approach to dog training is professional and empathetic. Harriet really knows dogs and was able to support us toward best outcomes for our family. Thank you Harriet for being a trusted guide in cross species communication.”
