Un-Chase!® workshops with Alexis Davison and Harriet Alexander

    Fryerstown • 23–24 May 2026

This May I’ll be joined by Alexis Davison, founder of Un-Chase!, for a special weekend of small group training workshops.

If you live with dogs in regional Victoria, chances are you’ve encountered some of the same challenges many of our clients face. Dogs chasing kangaroos or rabbits. Fixating on bikes or cars. Getting overstimulated on walks and struggling to settle once the excitement starts.

These workshops focus on practical skills that make everyday life with dogs safer and calmer. You’ll spend a few hours working with your dog in a relaxed setting alongside other local dog lovers navigating similar challenges.

Workshops take place at a beautiful historic church in Fryerstown, Victoria, set on a peaceful acre. Training happens in a bright studio with excellent heating and cooling (essential for this region!), giving dogs and humans a comfortable and relaxed space to focus.

Each session is limited to just four dogs, with both Alexis and myself supporting you throughout. That means plenty of individual guidance, space to practise, and time to ask questions. You’ll also receive post-workshop support through the Un-Chase! app + bonus materials.

    Workshop details

    Emergency skills for real life.

When something unexpected happens, your dog needs behaviours they understand instantly. A strong recall. The ability to stop when asked. The habit of pausing at a doorway or gate instead of charging through.

This workshop focuses on general safety skills that support everyday life with dogs. These behaviours help prevent accidents and give you more control when it matters most.

During the session we’ll begin teaching three key behaviours:

    • Emergency stop

    • Emergency recall

    • Wait at doors, gates and boundaries

These skills apply across many situations, from bush walks to bringing the groceries in without your dog disappearing down the street.

    Un-chase! app bonuses included

    • 30-Day Emergency Recall Challenge

    • 15-Day Emergency Stop Challenge

    • 10-Day Wait at a Boundary Challenge

    Un-Chase!

For dogs who struggle to disengage from chase triggers.

If your dog takes off after kangaroos, rabbits, birds, bikes, cats or moving cars, you’ll know how quickly the chase can take over.

This workshop focuses specifically on helping dogs switch off from chase triggers and make safer choices.

Using the Un-Chase! approach, we’ll show you how to help your dog notice exciting movement in the environment and respond differently instead of launching into chase-mode.

During the workshop we work with carefully managed simulated chase triggers, allowing dogs to begin practising these skills safely in a controlled environment.

You’ll leave with a clear understanding of the training process and how to continue building these skills in everyday life.

    Un-chase! app bonus included

    • A 30-Day Chase Trigger Challenge

    • PLUS a detailed workbook to keep skills strong

    Best suited for

Dogs who already chase wildlife, livestock, bikes or cars and struggle to disengage once they spot them.

Early bird price. Standard price is $195 after 30 April.

    Walk This Way

Walks that make heading out the front door a pleasure.

If your dog pulls on lead or yanks you from one thing to the next, you’ll know how frustrating walks can be. It can be enough to make you avoid them altogether. Then when you do head out, they’re so excited they nearly rip your arm off. Yikes!

This workshop focuses on practical loose lead walking skills that help your dog stay with you more easily, even when there are distractions or changes in the environment.

You’ll discover simple ways to bring the joy back to walking with your dog, so it feels better for both ends of the lead.

    Un-chase! app bonuses included

    • 21-Day Loose Lead Walking Challenge

    • PLUS a detailed workbook to keep skills strong

    Best suited for

Dogs who pull on lead, rush ahead, or struggle to focus while out walking.

Prevent chasing habits before they begin.

Puppies notice everything that moves. Without guidance, those early reactions can easily turn into chasing behaviours later.

This workshop focuses on helping puppies and young dogs learn to notice exciting things without launching into a chase.

You’ll begin teaching skills that help dogs stay connected to their humans around wildlife, bikes, livestock and other everyday distractions.

    Un-chase! app bonus included

    • Un-Chase! Puppy

    • PLUS a detailed workbook to keep skills strong

    Best suited for

Puppies under 8 months of age who are comfortable around other dogs and people.

    Unwind

A second opportunity to attend our calm skills workshop.

Helping dogs learn to switch off.

Some dogs stay constantly “on”. They struggle to settle when visitors arrive, bounce between excitement and frustration on walks, or find it hard to relax when out in the world.

In this workshop we focus on practical skills that help dogs slow down, regulate their energy and relax more easily.

You’ll learn simple training exercises that support calm behaviour at home and in everyday settings like parks, cafés or social gatherings.

    Un-chase! app bonuses included

    • Unwind 30-day Challenge

    • Protocol for Relaxation

    • PLUS a detailed workbook to keep skills strong

    Best suited for

Dogs who struggle to settle, get easily overstimulated, or have difficulty relaxing around activity.
